Wednesday

To be well
A well of emotions
Motionless and stagnant
Staging the percussions beneath their drench
Entrenched by hollow cords and broken bricks

A penny falls and bounces off
Returning copper shinny smiling for its worth
So unaware of its amateur performance

To be well
But only as much as the penny is
Worthless unless gathered by the hundreds
Filling destitute porcelain swine smiling all the time
And children break their wishes

At the well.
