Oxygen

Nothing new here
How are you dear

She forces the curve

Back and forth from
This constant Humdrum
With the red and plum
She pales in comparison

Nothing like blue surrounded
By her smokey expressions
and its oxygen

Even if she applies
Several coats of “I’m wise”
She’ll never reach the height
of the competition

Another masterful treachery
those smudges and smears
changes how she appears
But always aware of this skeleton
hanging beneath the years
And its confliction

Shoving to the surface
Liking drowning magnificence
pulling down the ankles of inferiority
worthy of the air and all its purity.

She stands holding her breath
infiltrating inside her chest
Always so full

Tomorrow night dear
I’ll be right here

As usual.
